Triple Scoop For Local Master Photographer

A rare triple award for local master photographer Doug Brown LMPA has been achieved at the prestigious SE Master Photographer Awards 2008 held at Rowfant House near Crawley in Sussex.

Doug managed to pick up three titles on the night - SE Master Fashion Photographer 2008, SE Master Event Photographer 2008, and SE Master Press/PR Photographer 2008. The event which attracted a record entry from leading professionals throughout the south-east was judged by highly acclaimed photographer Kevin Wilson FMPA. Kevin a former President of The Master Photographers Association, commented on the high standard of entry and went on to congratulate the winners for their creativity and individual style.

Doug who with partner Sheila Mann runs successful High Street based Style Photography said "We are delighted with the result and particularly pleased with the winning fashion image of local fitness and lifestyle coach Paul Dalton, in a category dominated by images of females we've managed to come up with a shot which used our trademark of light and design to attract the judges eye."

The other winning shots were of newly appointed England rugby coach and world cup winning star Martin Johnson in the Press/PR category and slalom water-skier Ray Griffiths in Event.

Since opening their business in Herne Bay Doug & Sheila have featured on BBC1 series 'Family Contract' and Sky TV's Lifestyle Channel, they have also photographed many well known personalities including newsreaders Trevor MacDonald and Alistar Stewart, M.P.'s David Blunkett & Michael Portillo, sportsmen David Fulton and Matthew Walker and entrepreneur Gerald Ratner.

Sheila partner in the thriving studio, which handles over 350 portrait sessions and around 35 weddings a year said, "We are now looking forward to celebrating 10 years at our current High Street premises and turning more of our clients into winners!"
